mislead loan

Hi,has anyone heard of this before? I took out a loan with lloyds tsb about 4 years ago,a few months before my mortgage was due for renewal, as a consolidation loan. The interest rate was high and the payments were, to be honest, more than I could afford, but the person dealing with my loan told me not to worry and he would sort me a mortgage out which in turn would lower my monthly outgoings which would then be cheaper for me and enable me to afford the loan. Now the thing is there was nothing down in writing regarding this mortgage arrangement as far as I can remember.Consequently when the renew date for my motgage arrived I went into the bank and was more or less told there was nothing they could do for me to reduce my payments. This went on for a few weeks as I tried desperately to sort something out.In the meantime ofcourse the loan money was spent to pay off other debt and whatever so I ended up not being able to pay it and went to the cccs who took on my loan,an overdraft and a cc all in the name of lloyds.
I know it is a while now but does anyone know if I can do anything about this as I have no proof of what was said, thanks.

I think without any written proof you will find it hard to get anywhere to be honest.

Just a thought, but you could request a Subject access request (SAR), but there is a charge for this of £10 postal order of cheque payments, where they are required to send everything under your account(s) with them, going back as far as 6 years.

There is a template for this here below, good luck.

If LTSB could not offer you a mortgage why did you not go elsewhere?
