Quick CSA Question - reduced payments as child gets older

Options
I read on here a while ago that as a child gets older the CSA payments decrease, due to some sort of reduced care needed by the residant parent.
Is this true and does anyone know the phrase used by the CSA for this?
Thanks in advance :)

There is a thread concerning this on page 19 by NRPP11 entitled "CSA1 make sure you know this" which may help. This link should take you there.

Be aware that it doesn't always mean a reduction in real terms though.

The maintenance needed figure does reduce as the child reaches 12 14, 15, and 16 years of age however over the years the child allowace aspect of the maintenance needed figure has increase by 150% this is mainly due to the increase in income support rates by the Gov attempting to reach the child poverty targets

Plus your income may have increased too, and housing costs reduced, so it may actually lead to an increase.
