Supposed to be drier (which doesn't say a lot!) but I'm hoping for good weather too!

ETA: chris08 - LOL! I wouldn't say love but I could try it! It's been here 2 years and I'm kinda attached to it! Yep, will definately be putting our point of view across! Cheers

Not been in the Inn to comment for a while, love how you all keep it ticking over! I do come in everyday for a read. You all lead way more exciting lives than me!
Wanted opinions about something...nothing exciting though!

Our washing machine was making funny noises and only had it 2 years so still under the John Lewis 3 yrs guarantee (their own machine). So we called them out and got a cancellation so they came last week and said what we kinda knew, it was the bearings so he ordered some more by phone (and other bits, no idea what for!) and said he'd be back Monday (yesterday).
Well got a call about 11'ish (after waiting in for him, arggh!!) that he wouldn't be coming as they had decided the machine was 'uneconimical to fix' and they'd give us a new one! Not sure how expensive these bearings are but OK!
Now for the question. They asked if we wanted them to take the old machine away at the time of delivery. But I know they charge £9 for this service. As I pointed out to hubby it's not OUR choice to get a new M/C but theirs so we shouldn't have to pay - should we? Would you hold out for a free 'take away' given the fact it's their decision to replace it? I'm not being unreasonable here am I?
    All opinions welcome! Many thanks:D

    Back to comping....
i would phone and ask them if they are going to charge you if they do i would explain you did not take the descision to replace they did. also council will take it away for free hope this helps

    Thanks peeps.
I've been lucky with Galaxy, keeps the MIL happy all these books!

I know what you mean cathyj. This time of year you'd expect it to be more predictable but unfortunately it's not! Dry weather for the whole weekend would go down well I'd say!

Lol! Could try that and we do get this open-back van drive round sometimes that I think is the scrap man (but who knows!) Would rather get rid of it sooner rather than later though.

    Whereabouts in essex are you?
