Because if they played something good you'd be embarassed when they took you off hold and you were still singing along!

haha! There was a company I used to have to speak to all the time and they actucally had the best hold music ever! It was always the latest number one song but the sound quality was awful it was like they held up the phone to the radio to record it!!
