can i put a small bill on bankruptcy form ?

I have a very small bill, £36 for 2 missed direct debits at the start of me being advised to stop paying the correct amounts, it has been passed to a finace company called viking, who are insisting i pay that small one in full, regardless of the bankruptcy, the only thing that is worrying me, its not paying the £36 it is making the exception for that particular one, as the others are £1 per month, the court has advised to go with the legal advice i have had until the hearing, but they are screaming they want that small one in full. what would you advise ? The 2 direct debits was the 2 last payments i paid 52 and that was the last the £36.

a rule of BR is ALL debts go into your BR(you can't pick which ones you want to pay and ones you don't),so yes get it on there, they are trying it on,and remember even debts not listed at the time of your BR are still inclueded as long as they were before you went BR.

P.S if they give you any bother tell them to contact your OR as you are no long going to deal with them once you go BR
  • Hi

When I went BR, I had a small one with Virgin for our phone bill for £41, I also put this in the BR pot.

As we had moved over to BT, so did not want it to look that I was favoring payment to Virgin over the others. I wasn't sure if to do this, due to it being a small amount, but as we had moved to BT, therefore this was not a necessary utility bill to pay.

    Hope this helps
  • Thanks everyone, i thought this would be the case, but wanted to check as the debt company were kicking up such a fuss.
