current acc interest rates more or less than my credit card?

Options
i'm just after a little help to clarify this:

1. my halifax current account charges me (apparently) at around 14%

2. my old credit card charged me at around 16.9 %

ok - my current acc is overdrawn by nearly 1k. my monthly statements show that interest charged is around £10 (i'm using rough figures here)

whilst my old credit card statement showed (e.g.) a payment due of about £80 - of which £70 (ish) was shown to be interest

i don't know if i've missed a trick here - i thought that generally current accounts are dearer than decent credit cards

anyone?
