free karcher pressure washer with tesco insurance

hi i was in tesco today and the checkout area was full of leaflets showing a free karcher pressure washer worth £100 when a new customer takes out car or home insurance and is a clubcard holder.

apparently the deal runs 28th may - 22nd july.

i actually had to do my car insurance today and tesco was my cheapest quote. you dont have to fill anything in to get the offer, they send you the details within 6 weeks. you then have to arrange delivery to the store or to your home for a delivery fee.

hope thats all the info everyone needs, this is a good deal if you happen to be doing your insurance.

They send it out very quickly too, I got this last year.

Off topic, does anyone know if you collect clubcard points at the same rate on insurance than everything else? I paid over £200 for my insurance but statement only shows 97 points?

saw this in store, they were £150 more expensive than prices I could get from comparethemarket and their excess £350 with no courtesy car I was shocked, make sure you check the policy before buying :)

I've always found Tesco to be really cheap.
I'm 24 with 6 years no claims, driving a 1.6l car, no claims protected, windscreen cover, courtesy car for £230ish.

Is Tesco Home insurance any good - I'm trying to decide between
Norwich Union which works out about £65 cheaper (as I can get £70 cashback) or Tesco's which has the free pressure washer. Any suggestions ?

a friend of mine had Norwich Union insurance and they were terrible in the event of a claim, they are the only company I dont look at for a quote as I wouldnt want to go trhough all of the problems she had with a relatively easy claim

    Just read the small print.
I changed to Tesco House Insurance 3 years ago but had to update my front & back door locks as part of the spec. demanded by Tesco.
No bad thing really as I am now more secure than before.
