I've bought 3 items from Dell Outlet this year. I was told by one of their reps that the money off deals were on for 46 out of 52 weeks. It's usually £55 off, but then they put their prices up , and take off £100. If you're looking for a cheap system, it's definitely worth keeping an eye on the site regularly. The money off deals usually change on a Friday, but they kick in online around 4.30 on a Thursday..
If you're not sure if it's a good price, I would hold off and keep watching for a better deal..0 -
Were your items in good condition? Do they come packaged as though new?0

Two were brand new and had never been unpacked, presumably a stock excess somewhere along the line. The last one I had was a bit of a problem. It had been used, but was in perfect nick It would not load up at all. I spent several hours to tech support, before they agreed to refund my money. The day after I sent it back, I found one with a much better spec for £50 less than I'd paid previously. When that one came it had some scratches on the keyboard surround, but it was such a good price.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again, but be careful, as sometimes they're dearer than on the main site.0 -
Hi all
Just an update - on the last stock update (3.35pm) they realised a whole load of Mini 9s, 1.6Ghz, 533MHz, 1GB RAM (not 512KB as I previously posted), 8GB SSD. They were £203, worked out £140 delivered. So keep your eyes peeled if you're interested - looks like there are still bargains to be had. (Although I am aware these specs might not suit everyone.)
Just spent the last hour deliberating over my order, but finally got one as I know I can cancel if something better comes up!0 -
Those Mini's had XP on them.
But I would have thought they would struggle with only 512ram.
Unless anyone knows different?0 -
Doh - it was me being non-computer literate and reading the wrong thing. Looks like they come with 1GB RAM. Apologies for any confusion!
Someone over on HotUkDeals said it would only cost about £15 to upgrade to 2GB as well. (Although obviously I would ask someone who has more idea than me to help me do it!)0 -
Was it 512 cache instead?0
-
Yup! (Not that it means anything to me hehe...)0
