Token payment help.

I sent my first token payments by recorded delivery 2 weeks ago. Since then all i've from is Lloyds saying thank you for my £2 that they have credited to my account and if I have any problems they are always there to help, does this mean they accept the £2 .
Also does it have to be by postal order each time or can I pay via online banking?
Many thanks

Hi Charlie, are you just going to continue to send £2 each month or are you setting up a payment play?
I think you can pay via online banking, rather than by postal order each time.

I'm just sending the £2 until my appointment with CCCS in 2 weeks. Then seeing what they say and taking it from there.

If it's every month then do it by Standing Order and not Direct Debit. By SO, you are in control- DD they can take what they want.

Doesn't necessarily mean they've accepted but keep sending it anyway. Creditors normally take a while to accept. One of mine took nearly a year - yes, frustrating but worth it in the end.

Ok I see, Lloyds accepting the £2 this time doesn't necessarily mean they would continue to for any length of time, I would wait now and see what cccs say.
If you have to send another token payment, if for instance a payment plan can't be set up before the next one is due then I would just send another postal order, if cccs set up a DMP for you you'll just make one payment direct to them by direct debit.
    Hope that helps.

might be better value to pay in direct to a lloyds branch ? no p/o fees then. as said above, a standing order will be easier, shows willing, and YOU are in control.

(I feel rather 'well off' now, as making token £10/month payments, to various..)

    Hi there
I do hope they agree to you, its only recently my letters from CCCS and copies of my budget sheets with token payments have been sent off to the 4 creditors, all lloyds, I shall let you know when we hear, this may give you some idea..as its the first time for us also.

However, we do not have a DMP, but CCCS given us budget advice with the letters as stated to send direct, good luck with your appointment, you will find they are wonderful and take great pressure off your mind.;)

I have not had time to go through all the posts but I take it you have also opened a new bank account as well?;)

We were going to do this, maybe next time we will to save on the posting, as all the 4 creditors are those of lloyds.;)
