Recommend a cheap food processor?

Hello
I've never used/had a food processor before but all family and friends harp on about how good it is for whipping up batches of cake mixture and pastry etc however they all own really expensive ones and I can't justify spending loads!
Seeing as summer is here and I usually make a lot of quiches, scones, fairy cakes and tarts etc I think one may be in order
Anybody own and rate a cheap model?
Thanks

Not quite a food processor, its a hand blender but it does the job for me, and has all necessary attachments (and its cheap!). I got mine in the sale for £9.99, but even full price is good:

In my experience the cheaper ones don't make good cakes I'm afraid - I'm not sure why (I think maybe the cheaper ones get transmit more heat to the food?).
Personally I'd aim for a second hand Kenwood off eBay or, if you're lucky, Freecycle. Will probably last you much longer than a cheap Argos one as well as having more/better attachments so being more versatile.0 -

I got a second hand Kenwood for £20, it's brilliant and I don't know how I managed without it. It was virtually brand new when I got it. Bargain!Life is not a dress rehearsal.0 -
All our Kenwood stuff has been very good quality. As for a food processor, I went for a very simple one (years ago) and haven't used anything else but the chopping blade, the slicer and the grater (once).0

I'd second that :T I still make pastry by hand, but cakes are made in a Kenwood chef (bought with my redundancy after maternity leave over 16 years ago, and still going strong)
Take a look at this thread on chosing a food processor. I'll merge this one later.

As per previous posts, Kenwood stuff is good. I suppose people either use them only occasionally (like me) or all the time (like the OPs family & friends).
I often forget to use mine (as its stored in a cupboard), and end up doing things (chopping, whisking) by hand (have only used for blending so far), so it wasn't worth spending much money for me. It was cheap with all necessary attachments, thats why I bought it. Hopefully I will get more use out of mine, when I remember its there!
As others have said if you are someone who will use it all the time, you would be better with a Kenwood Food Processor, but if you are someone like me, who buys gadgets and only uses them only occasionally, a handblender is worth considering.0
