Sometime in early January 2008, i went on a night out with the guys for a drink. When i got there i had a glass of larger and met a woman in her ealry thirties. She bought drinks and ordered that they put in her room and asked if i could come for a chat with her as were to catch up on life in general. This woman i had never had a affair with her. Five months later she phoned me saying "i have got papers that needs the father to sign. This shocked me as i did not remember sleeping with her. she instisted that i slept with her theirfore she was expecting my child. When i tried to explain my situation that i was unable to have a child of my own other than adpting she started spreading rumours and i ended telling my wife that this woman bought me 2 glasses of beer which i did not even finish she is claiming to be carrying my child.
My wife then calmly telephoned her and offered assistance and tried to make aware that i was unable to have children. Instead of listening she made the situation worse to an extent of involving her parents that i was responsible for her pregnancy.
As things kept unfolding my wife had rumours that she had given birth to a child whom we never got to know its sex. This is when i realy got upset as she kept on with her allegations. I took the initiative of consulting a lawyer who then wrote to her asking her to come forward for a DNA if she still thinks that i was responsible. She never replied to this. i am now confused and has a feeling that i might loose my wife and i did not want to raise the child that is not mine knowing very well that i am not capable of making any children. People in the society hate me as she continues to spread rumours. Her child will grow up with the ideation that i am the father. my argument was that if this child is a mirracle baby i would like to be in child's life and my wife is happy for me to a dad and at the same time she does not trust me any longer. We have been abrilliant couple that everybody envied. please help.
