agency work and maternity rules

Hi People!!
I'd love some advice as to my situation.
Ive been agency staff for a post @ NHS as Admin since mid Jan 09 and have still to hear of my role being up for grabs (Interview etc).
NHS as you probably know is hard to get in unless you side step and my role if/when it comes up - I could be gazzumped by someone else in admin in NHS.
The point of my question is - for my personal circumstances,I wish to start a family (Plus age is slightly against me) but am unsure of what will happen Agency staff rules. Plus the NHS do have contracts - but as I'm not employed by NHS - I think Im going to loose out on rights and money..??

Can the Money Saving Experts help me..??

Thanx
