Hi again all
Just a short one this time - just checked Experian and it shows on MY version that we are registered with the council to vote etc (actually have the voting card in front of me for next month's elections!) but it's not showing on the CRAs. I appreciate that this takes time but it's been 4 months now and we're applying for an AIP today . . . . . . .
PS - spoke to the council and they said that it's definately been processed by them and would probably show next month - should we wait before asking for the AIP?
Thanks in advance

Put that in a letter and take it to your AIP meeting. When records are incorrect most BSs just require a logical explanation.

It matters TOO much...especially if you are from non-eu (i'm from an EEC country). I've lived her for 12 years, married, working, paying tax etc. But I cannot vote or be on the electoral roll
Every time I have to provide proof, signed s in triplicate, sent in, sent back, queried, lost, found, subjected to public enquiry, lost again, and finally buried in soft peat for three months and recycled as firelighters.
An absolute pain in the a**e......so in the end I lied and put my name on the register anyway as a Britishman....without any proof whatsoever and I'm on the list. I don't vote since legally I can't (although I think I should) but I'm on the list for the sake of ease when it comes to banks.
The electoral roll system is flawed. Anyone can put their name on their if they wish, regardless of where they are from. Being honest however, doesn't count in your favour. [/rant over]0 -
@Cheesenoodles as far as I can tell the EEC countries became the EU. Do you mean EFTA ?
Can you apply to change your nationality or go for dual citizenship ? I do not have a clue but if the system seems unfair then perhaps it should be changed.
