Need a mortgage - advice please?

Hi. First time on here. My OH & I will have paid off our current endowment mortgage this summer, after 25 years. We are about to relocate - our "escape to the country" - and are having problems attracting buyers in this sluggish market. I am semi retired and my OH has a steady job. With my pension and his salary, we bring in about £70k without adding in my freelance earnings. We have savings in ISA's and premium bonds, about a third of what we would need to pay for our next place. We want to take out a mortgage over a 10 year period, taking us up to OH's retirement age.
Until recently we were just going to return to our current lender (Nationwide BS) but I now realise there may be better deals available. I am even wondering whether we need to wait to sell this house before we make an offer on another - we could always let this if necessary.
This world is all very new and confusing for us both - we really need guidance on who to approach for advice. Any ideas or pointers gratefully received!

Seek an advisor or go window shopping.
No one on this website can provide advice as mortgages are regulated products.
Did not want to sound rude but the above is true. Without an advisor gathering all your information they can provide a suitable recommendation. Just because one person gives you an answer, you could have major tax implications in the near future.
Trust me. Seek an IFA or go window shopping. Horrible it may sound, you will learn alot more.Motto: 'If you don't ask, you don't get!!'
Remember to say thank you to people who help you out!
Also, thank you to people who help me out.0
