I love her. I have her picture in my room. and Viven Leigh.

I should have lived in the 1950's

me too, I would have worn lovely dresses and danced a lot!

Doom, I like fish type stuff but know lots of folk don't. would need to be quite light if you are having four courses otherwise I'd suggest something like haggis. when is the wedding? are we talking summer or winter food here?

I mean those pretty sticky out dresses that make your waist look tiny but they wouldn't really work in the noughties and dancing isn't the same these days... and you don't meet any nice old fashioned men... oh dear, I seem to be in the wrong era....:o

Did flirt a bit with fit bloke at work today though...;)

They made your waist look tiny because it was still just after the war, rationing had not yet been abolished and their waists *were* tiny. My Mum had some ridiculously thin waist - I think my watch would fit round it...
but they wouldn't really work in the noughties and dancing isn't the same these days...

Because it isn't ballroom? Or because no one knows how to?
and you don't meet any nice old fashioned men...

    Old fashioned in which ways?
oh dear, I seem to be in the wrong era....:o

    Not neccessarily...
