On the Star Trek front perhaps I am too much of a Trekkie, but I cannot recollect any mention of Vulcan being destroyed in TNG or any of the films which means the destruction of Vulcan in the film a bit foundationless, unless it was metioned in the TOS surely they havent missed that. Mind you in TNG they do refer to it as the Vulcan Home WOrld so perhaps the film was factually correct. I liked Bones and Captain Kirk, they were great. I thought Spock's role was a bit weak and I thought the gadgy who plays Spock could have been loads better. And I wasnt comfortable with him kissing Uhura. AND when did Romulans start looking like that?? They looked more like Remans. I think I'm short on some of the history me thinks. Well Im off to get my hair cut so I look good for my new shipmates at the weekend; popping over to Pompey to introduce myself and say hello then Im going camping on the Sat at Corfe Castle with SIS and BIL. Perhaps I could pop into BBs for some cake?
It all changed because of the time rift which is why all the personalities changed and Kirk's life changed because he had no father ( sorry folks for spoiler) I thought the twists were good, i admit the Romulans were a bit different but if you look on early Star Trek episodes they are the hot headed version of Vulcans and not much different to look at. In fact the only way you could tell them apart was if a Tribble was about:rotfl:
Puts Trekkie hat in cupboard.:D
I love Corfe castle BTW not camped there for a long while.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
