Hi
Brief run down so far-
Written my letters to my creditors with offers of payment, included ND Helpline SOA, sent recorded delivery, unsigned.
Made my first payments to everyone, posted copies of payments off with covering letter saying as they hadn't replied to my 1st letter, I take this as they are in agreement of my proposals., included copy of 1st letter.
Had mixed reactions, Barclaycard sent a statement out saying Mercers were dealing, so knew what to expect from them by reading posts on here. I spoke to them Monday when they rang, guy was ok and said he would ring in a week after I told him what I paid was all I could afford and these payments will continue until my situation improves.
Egg have received my letter and have written back, seems ok.
Mint rang me today, i didn't answer as i was at work, rang them back, they have written, fully understand my situation, are prepared to accept my payments, guy was brilliant on the phone.
Co-op wrote to me asking for all sorts of info, wrote back saying they didn't need it and all the info was on the SOA anyway. I did include a copy of my bank statement showing my wages going in, with EVERYTHING else covered up!
One creditor has written back, saying as I have not signed the letter, they cannot help me and I should re-send it to them signed. As you have said many a time, do not sign anything, but can they ask for this? Do I just write my name on the letter(not my signature, that's very unique!!)
I'm quite keen to write back saying their request is unjustified.
Anyway, just to say, you can do it yourself if you want to, I've been feeling so much better in the last three weeks since the letters have been sent!

There is a template for what to write if they ask for your signature. Its actually for a CCA request but may help a bit (post 10 below) http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=11636349
Other advice would be to write back with signature but with lines drawn behind it so it can be read but not be copied.
Glad to hear others have been reasonably okay so far.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
I actually did send my letters in with my name PRINTED.
(obviously, wondering now whether I should have done that):o
BUT!.. I know that I never EVER write my name the way I did on those letters... It's not like my signature at all..
It will be interesting to see in the future (when I get around to send CCA requests ) whether it appears on the any agreements.Very proud of trying to deal with my debts. LBM 04/09
