Hi
Can't find a canvas picture that suits my living room so have decided to paint my own - may be a disaster but may be a masterpice! Can anyone advise what acrylic paints I should be using and where I can buy them?
If it's a disaster my 3yr old will get the blame!

Hi, Not sure if you have one near you but we hae a book.art shop called the works and they have a wide range of canvas/ acrilic paints at a very resonable price. if not you could try hobby craft.
Argos also do a set that includes canvas, brushes, easel etc but depends if you want to do a one off thing or make it a new hobby. think they also do ones pre drawn you just add colour.
hope this helps0 -
Hi,
There no point spending a fortune, so i would head to your nearest au naturale. In there you will find small pack of acylics (8 tubes of colour for about £3) some brushes and different sizes of canvas, they start from a few quid as well.
My friend is an artist and she uses these canvasses all the time - she swears by them.
Oh and remember dont let your dods of acrylic dry out, its much easier getting watery acrylic off your palette than the hardened plastic version! lol.

Partners the Stationers have canvasses and some paints. Their art supplies are on 3 for 2 at the moment.
If you want quality artists paints you can buy them on line at discount prices from: www.jacksonsart.co.uk
Hope you enjoy your painting - its a wonderful hobby.:jBorn to shop;)0 -
Check out you local Home Bargains if you have one as i went in there yesterday and picked up some average sized canvas for 99p! there was also a set of acrylic paints there and also brushes at reasonable prices too!

Good advice!
DD wraps her palettes up in cling film when not using them. The paint will stay moist for ages, so prevents wastage.£2 Money Savers Club = £18 :T
