I've just received an email for existing First Direct 1st Account customers who apply for AND obtain a NEW Gold Credit Card before 14/6/09.

If £100 is spent on the card within the first 2 months you will receive 6 complimentary bottles of wine. Obviously if you spend the £100 on something you would have bought anyway, and pay it off in full, the wine is FREE! :beer:

Wine Offer Terms and Conditions

1. Receive six bottles of wine when you take out a first direct gold card. This offer is only available to existing 1st Account holders who take out a gold card with first direct before 14 June 2009 (inclusive) and spend £100 on the card within the first two months. The £100 spend excludes cash withdrawals and balance transfers.
2. The credit card offer does not apply if you are an existing first direct credit card holder, you are converting from any existing first direct credit card or you have closed a first direct credit card within the last 90 days. Additional cardholders do not qualify for this incentive.
3. Offer only available to UK residents aged 18 and over.
4. This offer is non-transferable.
5. If eligible for the offer, the wine will be delivered to your home address within eight weeks of the criteria of the offer being met.
6. Your wine will be supplied by Direct Wines Ltd, trading as Laithwaites, and have been pre-selected by first direct.
7. In the unlikely event of a wine becoming unavailable, a substitute of similar style and of equal or greater value will be supplied.
8. There is no cash alternative. Offer excludes customers residing at Channel Islands, Isle of Man or other non-UK addresses.

Anyone else seeing this offer?

I am with FD but don't receive marketing from them. 6 bottles of vino might just persuade me to apply!

Grrr, That would rule me out then... It would also explain why I did not get the message unlike the OP..
