sticklebricks or lego, please

hi my young daughters have fell in love with sticklebricks and lego. Its seems quite expensive for amounts to a small tub. the lego doesnt have to a big winged areoplant they are happy just to bild towers or houses.

any tips on where to pick it up from cheap, been watching a couple on ebay but they went quite high in the end.

    car boots for lego, but you have to be early and fast.

    lego is always for sale at our local nct nearly new sales for reasonable prices. I also ocassionaly see it in charity shop windows.

    sticklebricks are only good for young children
    lego will last them for years
  • i have to agree with above. stickle bricks you grow out of pretty quickly, but lego... i love it still! dont get it off ebay- sooo expensive! go to boot sales!
    give them both for now, but concentrate more on lego as they will grow out of sticklebricks, but they will still be playing with lego in their twenties...

    My OH bought a Lego system set (070 for any experts!) in a charity shop for £10.
    It's got loads of stuff in it & he's happy as a pig in sh*t. I think they get snapped up really quickly though.

    There's also some Lego-alikes in various shops - they may not be as good, but I think you can use some of them with the original Lego pieces as well?
