Lovely spanner in the works?

My husband's wonderful grandmother wants to give all her grandchildren a small four-figure sum while she is still alive so that she can have the joy of their appreciation, and why not, bless her?

Would it be safe during my BR? It isn't mine. Will it be OK in his own account or should we tell her not to write a cheque just yet?

If he could keep it, it would only be saved for our children knowing my husband :heart2:

If he is not going BR then there is no need to worry about it. The OR will not be interested in anything like that of your DH's as it is his and you are the one that is going BR, so nothing to do with you.

That's nice of his grandmother. Like TF says, if he isn't BR then the money will be fine. If he is BR then maybe she could make it out to one of your kids?
