Fixed vs variable, something I've been pondering

11:06, one beer drunk, very tired from Matched betting concentration and long hours at work. 70-30 for fixed rate at moment. Will be phoning mortgage people tomorrow.
Meanwhile I'm going to drink 2 more bottles of premium ale (lovely BTW) and see where I get to.Happy chappy0 -
3.23pm next day. Woke up this morning and immediately thought "fixed". Just about to phone L&C to get it started.Happy chappy0

Funny thing is that we spent 15 minutes going through all the details, then he said "so , Halifax -0.11 from BOE base rate mortgage" and I said "no, fixed" and then he said "oh, that'll make the process slower because I'll have to send you the details".
Then I said "oh, I'm so 50-50 maybe I should rethink." Then I thought "no, I've made a decision and that's what I'm sticking to".
The broker was great, but the situation gave me a chance to rethink, but fixed is what I want.Happy chappy0 -
Oh lol.....I'm glad you made a decision...I was holding my breath during the reading of this thread. :rotfl:
Whilst I wouldn't wish uncertainty on anyone......I'm reassured to see other people have the same problem knowing what's the best thing to do sometimes (as we do in our house).
Good luck in your new place to be.Herman - MP for all!
