dear friends,
I plan to buy a house for 300,000 pounds & can afford a 10% deposit (& maybe able to really stretch to 15% deposit max. )
I was thinking of a 5year or a 3 year fix.
The mortgage advisers i went to did not appear very helpful.
I have heard natwest fixed for 5 years at 5.99% is competitive but my mortgage adviser insists on C&G for some reason.
Could anyone guide me to the best possible mortgages.:A

Your mortgage adviser knows all the details of your salary, attitude to risk, credit file so I don't think anyone on here can guide you. If you're not happy with the advice, why not try another adviser?0

I do not recommend C&G, from experience they are poor in processing applications. I am on my 10th week on our application and still we do not have the acceptance. We have been told today by the estate agents that the house will be put back on the market if we do not sort things out. Obvisouly, this is not our fault but with C&G.
I have also seen the deals with Natwest and think they are pritty good, but try another IFA.Bank Charges refunded from Halifax £2600Bank Charges refunded from halifax joint account £554Credit Card Charges refunded £300 plus interestI'm proud to be dealing with debt!!! :T0
