Wanting to remortgage to HSBC with a 33% LTV. Can this be done online or over the phone rather than having to have a two hour meeting in the branch. Trying to find out with Live Chat on HSBC but all agents are busy. Thanks

Yes you can do the AIP and application over the phone, paperwork then sent by post.0

Yep you can carry it over the phone which will also take at least 1 hour. As above, do you really want to carry this over the phone? I guarantee your processing time will be much slower as this will be approve by their mortgage service centre in sheffield.Motto: 'If you don't ask, you don't get!!'

Thanks. We've just decided to keep our branch appointment as the time factor was concerning me. Our current BS have been slow letting us know what they'd offer us and I can see that this is all going to turn into a rush!0 -
We completed ours over the phone and t'internet.
No problems with them then, or since.Space available for rent0 -
I thought HSBC were offering the best deal - 500 cheaper than anyone else and after all they had a policy of 'having the most competitive svr of the big banks' - it has only cost me about 5k to find out that that policy wasn't worth the breath required to say it.Thanks both.

Sorry, I'm confusedIs it a mortgage you have problems with or savings.

The mortgage - specifically the SVR.
Thanks.
michaels, is your problem the fact that HSBC haven't reduced your mortgage rate as much as you'd like or that you're on a higher fixed rate and stuck with that. Sorry if I'm being really dense.
We're with a BS whose SVR is still at 5.99 (although we are on a 1.7% discount ending soon) so 3.94% discounted by 1.45% is a good deal as far as I can tell.0
