Hi,
I currently work for a company that does not make any contribrutions into a pension scheme.
I have heard rumours that the government is changing the law so that all companies must make a contributions to company pension schemes.
Does anyone know if this is true and if so when does it come into force?

2012 is the current start date. Rumours persist that it will be put back though to 2015 due to recession though. That said, 2012 may just be enough.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The compulsory rate of company contributions will (initially anyway) be only 3% of salary. Not too significant, but better than nothing. If I had a pound for every time I didn't play the lottery...0

Hi Andy,
There are some useful pointers on the official website:
- Personal Accounts Delivery Authority
Hope that helps.
