Endowment assigned wrongly to laing

stumped

Our endowment policy with Phoenix matures next month, but it is wrongly assigned to Laing, who had given us a top-up loan when we bought the house 25 years ago. We have to obtain a letter declaring no interest in the policy from them. Have rung Laing head office, but people I have spoken to have no idea who to direct me to. Does anybody how to proceed? Would appreciate help!!

Hi there, not sure if this helps or not, but there was a similar-ish problem in the Guardian Money letters page recently
http://www.guardian.co.uk/money/2009/apr/25/capital-letters
the issue was eventually resolved by the intervention of the Guardian folks - might be worth a try if all else fails?0 -
Laing only have to write a letter to the insurer saying they no longer have an interest in the policy. Its a simple letter just saying that one sentence.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
