I suspect they will only at a price that includes a small contribution towards taxpayers' money that has been injected to keep them solvent.
People keep banging on about how the taxpayer is going to make a massive profit on bank nationalisations. Don't believe it. Governments have a lousy track record of investing. Remember British Leyland?0 -
