Hi Folks,
Just a quick...What would you do???
Our mortgage with Halifax will resort to their standard variable rate at the end of June.(Sorry.I am not sure what this is)...Edited..Just had a look its 3% I think.
We can either...stay with this...or go to a new tracker rate fixed for 5 years at 2.79% above the base rate or fix for 3 4 or 5 years at 5.29%.
I really think we have to stay with the Halifax at the moment as our credit rating is not brilliant and I dont want to start messing around too much.
Any ideas guys before I ring them back later would be much appreciated.
Wish I had a crystal ball:rolleyes:
Thanks.

Congratulations on being Alcohol free since April 08, I am aiming to do a month off in June.
I would discount the tracker deal, as you have in effect got a better deal on SVR currently.
Personally i would opt for the 5 year fixed deal.0 -
Yep.
I thought that but it means an extra £100 per month which we cant really afford at the moment.
Will have to keep mulling on it for a couple of hours. They can only guarantee these rates for today.....but maybe tomorrow they will be better
PAH...
Good luck with the alcohol thing.......have you had a look on the giving up/cutting down thread...its really friendly and helpful.
Thanks.
