It is a very stressful time and my wife is considering resignation though she knows that she has done no wrong.0 -

People can be ill or in long term care and it only comes out later that an issue has occurred.
Its part of the job and if your wife has nothing to worry about she should be honest and courteous in the knowledge she will be found innocent and exonerated after investigation.
Tbh your attitude if shared by your wife seems problematic and unprofessional and no doubt has added to the poor relationship
This is not helpful. If you had read my post fully you would have seen that the complaint is not related to "care" in any way. It is purely related to documentation.
I can also reveal that the complainant has a history of making frivolous complaints and at one stage was warned by the council for haranguing and harassing council staff!0 -

All irrelevent.
the person has a right to complain and as long as your wife is innocent she has nothing to worry about and should remain polite, courteous and professional
Suggesting the complainer has no right to this is not that.
Tbh you arent coming across well as it seems to be your saying the complaint should be ignored.0 -

No-one has a right to make a frivolous complaint or one that is based on personal dislike rather than any reflection of the targeted person's capability at the job in hand.
Have you considered the cost of the administration involved in handling such a complaint? That cost comes out of yours and my Council Tax. Are you happy to see your money squandered in this way or would you prefer to see it spent on providing better services?
Yes, serious complaints need to be investigated but frivolous ones need to be stamped on before they cost us hard-earned money.0 -

But that is your opinion, not fact.
It is upto those in the power positions to decide if the complaint is justified and take relevant action. not for you and your wife to decide in a position of bias then slander/libel the complainer.0 -

No, it is fact! I know the whole background of this story and you do not. I am fully aware of the background and motives of the complainants. You are not. How dare you accuse us of libel/slander when my wife is being investigated for alleged laxity at work which I know she is not guilty of.
I will not discuss this matter further with you. I suspect that you are a regular forum troll!0 -
Julian - if your username is also your real name, I don't think accusing the complainant of having a vendetta, abusing their position, etc. is a good idea. If the complainant finds this thread, it might not look that good if submitted to whoever's handling the complaint.0
