Just had the OR on the phone for my interview, to my surprise they ain't working out the SOA like we do on the forum.
Instead of a contribution to my Mrs and vice versa, they seem to be using a sliding scale of what we pay towards the bills I.e As I earn more, i pay more of the bills?
Think we are gonna get hit, but will find out in an hour or so. Also, they have have excluded Internet (I knew about that!) Life Assurance and Union Fees
On the plus side they have also exempted both cars, and we can buy the BI on production of 3 valuations so it's not all bad!
Just hope they dont come up with a silly figure for the IPA, i know it's an argreement but i don't wanna rock the boat and just deal with this as quickly and nicely as possible!
My Soa is available for all to see under my previous posts

I know what you mean by not wanting to rock the boat but remember that it is for 3 years so you do need to be happy with the IPA,ORs have rules to follow so if you are not happy with it get rocking that boat,if you have nothing to hide then nothing lost.0

Update is that i will have an IPA for £200, however the Mrs won't as she only pays 27% towards the bills?!?!?!
I'm happy enough to be honest, i never expected it to be a walk in the park, and she has said ED will happen in 6-8 months for us both.
Could've been worse!I've been through the mill once or twice and come out the other side...0 -
As long as you are happy with that then well done. It is only for 3 years and then it as all done and dusted and I bet it is less than you would have been paying pre BR and a shorter time scale.
Can I just ask if it was the Whitstable based OR ?

You are indeed right YM. I thought she was very fair to be honest, and yes your correct my IVA payments started on the wrong side of £600!
I know 3 years in reality is a short time, but i'm just happy about the house etc, plus she did up a few allowances and she said we don't have to spend £129 per month on clothing etc, so in reality that should pay for itself and we shuldn't really be any worse as such!
Thanks again to everyone, but don't think your getting rid of me!I've been through the mill once or twice and come out the other side...0 -

To be honest, that's how I've been looking at people's SOAs when they post them - that whoever earns the most pays a larger percentage, etc. And glad to hear she put up a few allowances before disallowing the clothing.Get free advice before embarking on bankruptcy: CCCS 0800 138 1111 National Debtline 0808 808 4000

I think i've been a bi misunderstood, she didn't disallow the clothing at all, in fact that was one thing she put up.
She just stated that we didn't have to spend the clothing allowance every month on clothing, so basically that would nearly pay for the IPA.
Like i said, she was very fair and nice to deal with, unlike some govt depts i've had to deal with in the past, job center for example!I've been through the mill once or twice and come out the other side...0
