'Modern' Furniture Wanted / Dwell

Hi,
I wonder if anyone has got any tips on furtniture stores (pref online) that might have a bit more modern / funky stock than the likes of Argos, Homebase, Ikea (not that there is anything wrong with them).
I'm looking initially for a sideboard and some other bits and pieces.
I've found something at Dwell... but not sure on the quality, especially of veneered drawers - any experience?
Any suggestions on other stores? I'm talking between standard and places like Bo Concept and Wharfside, which are frankly extortionate?
Thanks,
hbc

can't you go into a local dwell showroom - the trouble is some people like dwell and some do not -its very subjective - eg i hate ikea but others rave over it.
here is a link to their list of stores http://dwell.co.uk/stores.htm
there is also a branch at trafford centre
hthbargain shopping is the only way to shop :j0 -
Thanks, I've been to Dwell... but they don't have the actual item in stock at stores... so I thought I'd see what else was available from other places.
My main concern is that the drawer bottoms will fall apart as they have done in all of the Ikea furniture I've bought!0 -
Not sure if this will help but The Cotswold Company (not as olde worlde as it sounds) do quite a good range, not sure if they do many sideboards mind you. I've had a TV unit & drawer unit with baskets underneath from them - no probs - very solid. Also, maybe the OKA sale or Laura Ashley? Or just keep googling til you find something!
