  • Yep, but I'm in Ballymena area. But that's supposed to be normal for where I live!

Anyhow, according to Talktalk, there's been a fault in the Londonderry area since 7th May! :p

TalkTalk supposed to be good in the Ballymena area. My cousin says he's almost getting the full 8meg. He lives close to the exchange though.

I'm only about 2.5km away, and the maximum they say I'll get is 1.86, which is pretty poor nowadays. That's on ADSL, Supposedly I could get much better with O2 on ADSL2+.

I did that once before, and they made some excuses about how it was the quality of the line into my house. (The house is only 4 years old, so that's why I say it was an excuse!:D And it's in a residential development as well!)

I'm on Talk Talk and also notice a rubbish broadband connection this past 4-5 weeks. I downloaded IE8 and thought it might have been something to do with that - but I've a pretty decent spec laptop. It's very noticeable on sites like Youtube where the video should be downloading ahead as you watch it - but my connection has got that poor that the video has to stop because it hasn't downloaded
