Mortgage Offer , pay cut since applying

    just a follow up on this thread so others who read can see the outcome.

    I did let the lender know about the change in circumstances, took them a week or so to decide, but the answer was happy to proceed..

    Anyway after a what seemed like an eternity we are now settled in our new home moved in last week:beer:

    It's good to see that honesty was the best policy and that you weren't penalised for it.

    Rabbit Mad; the original post said "Enforced". That means the OP did not accept a pay cut, he had no choice. However in the current financial climate, anybody who flat out refuses a pay cut must have some real good reasons for it. Its not easy getting another job so when you refuse and you lose your job cos the company go under then you will be in big trouble.

    Thus you either have loads packed away in savings or you must feel very confident about the job market for your industry to decide to flat out refuse a pay cut! Either way doesnt matter as it was enforced in the first place! :mad:
