I went for Badge by Cream

Thinkin bout the times you drove in my car
Thinkin that I might have drove you too far.
And I'm thinkin bout the love that you laid on my table.

I told you not to wander round in the dark.
I told you bout the swans, that they live in the park.
Then I told you bout our kid, now he's married to Mabel.

He said I'd come in handy
    And started me on Monday
So I had a bath on Sunday

I nearly went with "Are we human, or are we dancers?" from Human by The Killers but I chose "Something took hold of me and I acted like a dustbin lid" from The Other Me by Paul McCartney.

:rotfl:Good job you didn't choose the Killers, its "Are we human? or are we Denser?" which does make more sense, although i thought it was dancers for ages:rotfl:

Found this though which hopefully explains the lyrics.

On the band's official website, the biography section states
that Flowers is singing "Are we human, or are we dancer?" and
also says that the lyrics were inspired by a disparaging
comment made by Hunter S. Thompson about how America was raising
    a generation of dancers.

HTH :) or maybe just confuses you even more

Misheard lyrics, lol. My fave is 'A year has passed since I broke my nose' (Message in a bottle - The Police). Cracks me and my kids up every time we hear it :D:D:D
('A year has passed since I wrote my note' just ain't the same:p)
