hi guys, ive posted a while back about my ftb having trouble with there mortgage<a redemption fee> i coudlnt understand why coz they said they were first timers, turns out obviously they are noTT and have a property in london<we are due to exchange and find this out!>they have had to change there london property to a buy to let and purchase mine on a residential mortgage, now we have moved the date to complete for the 10th april but there sols are sayin its cutting it fine as they have sorted out the by to let but still awaiting paperwork for this purchase<aparently not important paperwork> and can move no further till this is done,what can i do!? i mean im scared they will back out <as most of us do> but in the same breath i think if they wasnt intrested in going the whole way they wouldnt go through al this, is there anything i can do or say to get asses in gear? or have i got to ride along with it all? any advise for little ol me going potty would be great and ps thank for reading this long winded moanxxxxwendy

If you haven't exchanged yet there is little you can do. You could threaten to put the property back on the market or you could ask them to exchange with a fixed but delayed completion to give them time to put their papers in order.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
