Baker Ross are really good - in fact I have just finished placing an order with them. Unit prices are cheap but when you buy in the packs they retail, the order cost quickly mounts up. I have just spent £47 and haven't got what I really want which is, (and here is the main bit of my query) No 1 son (age 3) arrived home from nursery yesterday with a note requiring me to make an Easter Bonnet with him (arrrgh - I'm not the craftiest most practical person) He then comes in from preschool today with another note for, yes you guessed it, another Easter Bonnet. SO now I need to make 2 with him and don't know where to start. Can anyone help please.

I used to do days like that with my kids when they were younger,Bonnets went down well with my daughter but not the boys,So i used to give them a balloon to cover in paper mache kids loving making that because its messy,Then i used to let them paint them they ended up looking like giant easter eggs!
Have a great day,Remeber keep all old newspapers and use wallpaper paste,Cheap and lots of fun.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Did some egg decorating with my kids yesterday:
Real eggs, blowed them through a hole (used a push pin) and made pancakes at the weekend.

Had the kids drawing with good quality crayons, and then dyed them with a homemade dye: put bits of crepe paper in boiling water. Let it cool down and add a lidful of vinegar.
Dip the eggs in and Bob's your uncle.

very cheap and looks good as well!!!!!

Try charity shops ( I always see loads of wicker bonnets and baskets etc in ours, usualy for around 20p each!) also good for ribbons etc.......
Wilkos sell packs of cheap embellishment type bits, (dyed feathers etc) you could make some flowers out of crepe/tissue paper to put on the bonnets ( for the girls maybe!) For the boys make chicks out of pom pom balls and 'funky foam' (FF is 45p a large sheet about A4 size, you'd get millions of beaks and feet etc out of that!)
Pom pom balls can be bought in Wilkos aswell.or any good craft shop, quite cheap!
My son won first prize at school years ago using a blown egg, some funky foam, googly eyes and feathers as wings, then decorated a little basket........was so sweet!
(hes almost 14 now and wouldnt like to be reminded! lol)
Miss doing all those things with him, its all skateboards, girlfriends and very loud music! lol

HI, i would definatly reccommend baker ross too, I am an assistant leader a rainbows units and we would not be able to cope without them lol

for the easter bonet try typing into google craft then easter bonnet there are so many web sites out there with free resources and ideas.

For the lady who is having the crafty morning have you thought of making little bags/baskets with the girls and decorate them and then go on an egg hunt with them around the house or garden this can be great fun!

need help myself a little, I need to know how to decorate one of them shiny muller yogart pots to make flowert pots. the session only runs for an hour so can't really use paper machy (sp?)

any help much appriciated. Happy crafting x
