OR Interviews tomorrow

Hi everyone,
well the day has cometh! My oh and I have our phone interviews in the morning . Can't believe how quickly the last 2 weeks have gone to be honest. I did say that I promised myself that I would not get in a stew about this but about an hour ago my tummy started doing that weird flipping
I have everything sorted I think. phones on charge, kettle will be on, fags on my lap etc!! bit too early for the vodka and coke at 9.30 but i will look forward to it when interviews are all over and the match is on tomorrow night :D
My only concern really is my daft hubby . I have highlighted certain bits on his soa's etc and been bit sarcy by drawing big arrows to certain points to bring up (or not!!)
Unfortunately he is going first but good in a way that he will probably give alot of the info so I might get away with some of it - well can live in hope!!
The only thing that is concerning me is the thought of an ipa. I know AD is 12 months but as far as I am concerned, if i am lumbered with an ipa then i might as well be br for 3 years (if you know what I mean)
It is awful that you have to endure 3 years of handing over cash (2years of which when not br anymore) really really unfair if you ask me - well i will get off my soap box now, i just felt like ventin my anger a little:mad:. Think I better get a cup of tea and calm down for a bit !! Hope everyone is well xx

  • You will be fine. I had mine last week and feel much better now it is over and done. I have an IPA, although this was a foregone conclusion, but feel that I can now get on with my life as all of the court side of things have been done.

The OR didn't have the statements, loan agreements at the time of the interview so it was just a case of going through the SOA discussing which loan/card I took out when, for how much, what I used it for, monthly repayments, etc.

Hope the interview goes well. But even if you get an IPA, remember you are in a much better position having gone bankrupt than you were before. Yes, it can last up to three years but it should be manageable and flexible (remember, you have to agree to it with the OR so needs to be something you can afford); it changes with your circumstances so if things get tough you can ask for it to be lowered. And in the end, it represents such a small amount compared to the debts you had before.

Hopefully that will stop you feeling so angry - after all, it's a relatively small price to pay for a fresh start.

Good luck with your interview. Regarding the IPA - if you do get one think of all the debt that you dumped and you can atleast see an end in sight 36 months doesn't look bad and if your circumstances change your IPA will change so you don't have to worry about creditors hounding you anymore.

It's the "fear of the unknown" factor and you will be FINE. I promise you. I was sooooo nervous about mine. It took about 1/2 an hour - wasn't v comfortable because there is a lot of silences whilst the OR makes notes but it's ok honestly. Best of Luck - you'll be here tomorrow wondering why you worried x
