Is this job a scam???

Options
I'm thinking of ways that I can earn extra money at home and came across the following advert in the local free paper:

Home Based Workers, assemblers etc. Excellent pay rates, telephone: 0116 262 7252

This would be ideal for me, but didn't want to apply if it turned out to be complete rubbish.

Has anyone had any experience of working for them?

Thanks for your help.

you will have to ring them and find out what the company name is etc and then research on the internet or ask on here before comments can be made further

After a little research, the telephone number is for:

    Domiciliary Care Services
    221 Hinckley Road
    Leicester
    Leicestershire LE3 0TF

.....doesn't appear to be a scam!!! A scam advert would never include a geographical landline, let alone a genuine address associated with it!

Phone them up, see if you have to pay money, and find out what type of work it is.

If you are interested in homeworking, you can check out some of the known scams here .

Thanks, I've heard of those types before and would never entertain them.
  • Thanks for your replies, will give it some thought before I ring them.

But what if it is a scam operated by a care worker there? The number listed is not their main number.
  • Good point nexuss...didn't think about that one.

....yeh, could be.....but you would then have to suspect EVERY advert, phone number etc in a local paper of being a scam! I know people need to be on their guard, but come on!
