Help with exchanging Tesco Clubcard vouchers

Hi

Please could someone advise me about this? I want to buy an entry ticket to Lightwater Valley for my daughter. I've looked on the Tesco Clubcard website and it says it's £5 worth of vouchers gets £20 worth of tickets.

The actual entry cost is £17.95. I assume therefore that I need to spend £5 in vouchers to cover the £17.95 entry fee. So does this mean I just lose the difference (£2.05)?

Also, I understand if I have to cash in a voucher worth more than £5, I should get the surplus credited back to my Tesco Clubcard account. I could use a £5 voucher to minimise the hassle and potential loss, but I have a couple of vouchers which expire this August, so would like to use them up first. They are for £9.50, so that's £4.50 which I may lose, or have to trust Tesco to credit back to my account. How confident can I be that I won't lose out?

Also, it says on the website that these tickets will be non-transferable and will have my name and postcode on. How does this work exactly? The idea is that my daughter is going to Lightwater Valley with her friend and they are both being taken there by the friend's mum. So I won't be there. Will my daughter still be able to use the ticket?

Sorry for such a long post - any advice appreciated!

    YES

the £4.50 will be credited back to you account, dont worry

as for having your name on the ticket, as long as you and your dd have the same surname, and she takes id. it shouldnt be a problem. But as said before, ive never been asked for id

Thanks everyone. Not sure what ID she can take, though - she's only 10 years old!

Don't worry, I have had loads of money credited back onto my account when using vouchers that come to more than the face value required. Absolutely no problem. Hope your daughter enjoys the day out.

I have also never been asked for ID and used a few,

for most kids the only id they would have, is a passport or library card. But if you have something basic (ie no photo) your friend could use to pretend to be you instead that might be easier
