I was thinking about taking my two friends and their two children to Loudon's Castle in July or August and I was looking at ferry prices. A day return to Stranraer for 3 adults and 2 kids came out at over £300. However, if I opted for the Day Trip option and chose Car To Stranraer it came out as £150 return.
My questions is, would it be OK to book the cheaper option even though I am not staying in Stranraer? And how can there be such a disparity in the figures? I don't get it.
