is this mis-selling ?

i applied for a loan for 15,000 and after being kept for what seemed like ages we informed the two assisants who were dealing with us that we would like time to consider what we were taking on!,we were told" that this offer would only be available if we were to sign up for it today! is this mis-selling and should i take it further.?i am in the process of trying to claim back PPI on this loan.any advice?:confused:

    I don't understand why you think it is mis-selling? You didn't have to take up the loan offer, you could have gone elsewhere. Plenty of places try and get you to sign up there and then by telling you that the offer only stands that day, its a sales technique.

    nobody has to take up any loan we know that, but the sneaky way the banks operate have given rise to mis selling claims, you could go elsewhere but you would be under the same pressure, so yes op you were mis sold, you will get more help and advice on ppi claims forum if you post there

    Hi there

    You do not have to take on the PPI, this should be optional, but if you do take on the loan, you can try for a stand alone option, it does not have to be that of the providers, but just make sure your eligible for the cover as well.

    What obligation? They believe PPI was missold, they asked a question.
    No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.
