try having a look through the world of google for ideas for your trip, using google maps you can find out the distances between different places etc. and get a few more ideas

I agrre, Craig Tara is good if you get the right caravan. The pool is fantastic, 3 levels and slides etc, kids loved it!

my neighbour is going on foot on ferry at weekend for a day out so she has asked me to find out what there is to do. thanks.

I spent three hours there waiting for a train and it was like an eternity (except longer)
Once you have looked in a few shop windows that's about it.

Get the ferry to Troon there is slightly more to do there and you could also jump on the train into Ayr.
