Hi there, with regards to the groceries, I have really managed to cut ours down in the meat section. We only eat white meat which is always alo more expensive ive found and tuna isnt as cheap as what it used to be so this isnt even a bulk meal on the cheap (tuna pasta loads of and filling now its a treat) however:
Asdas Turkey mince £1.60 for a pack- cheap, filling, can be put into absolutely any meal including fajitas!! bulk out with frozen veg (ive found alot cheaper than fresh) Also Icelands offers are brill!
I tried a supermarket comparison site however this was a little difficult and i found actualy going to each individual shop more helpful and easier to compare!!
always allow for a little extra on top as the supermarkets do change their prices ever so often.
I do my shopping in 4 supermarkets to get the best prices!! sad i know however i get round the petrol spending by when visiting family i stop off on route to which ever one is closest or during my lunch hour if i am near a particular supermarket.
good luck and hope it goes well0 -
Could i just check, does DD spend the £100 month on clothes and if so how many clothes does DD have?
Maybe get her to start selling them on Ebay as an incentive to earn money and then spend it on clothes.
you could do this together and then she can still have an allowance but get excited at doing this.
I have done this with my sister as she was spending far too much on clothes and not appreciating them. when she grows out of them we list them on ebay then what ever profit we make she gets to go shopping!0 -
Thanks chickorganise
No DD use to get £100 a month allowance to cover the cost for all her outing, toiletries, snacks and half towards her clothes. Though this has already been stopped so not in SOA.I've got my faults, but living in the past isn't one of them. There's no future in it.

i was going to say thats alot just on clothes!
Maybe look into a paper round with your local newsagents? I know of a lady who does the evening paper round with her daughter as the daughter wants her own spending money but her mother can not afford to give her much so they do it together. She sees it as a way of helping her daughter out by giving her something she isnt able to and also spending time together and a little exercise, maybe this could be an option!!
good luck!0
