There are conflicting facts. The official Sanrio site states she lives in London whilst others say she was born there.
Then there are other sites that say she moved to England from Tokyo.

I asked Jeeves,Googled it,used MSN and all said London I put London as my answer.

I personally think the question is a bit ambiguous (sp?) because can be taken 2 ways really & either answer could be correct.

On the link Princess Pixiedust has listed it says in her biography

Hello Kitty was born in Japan in 1974

Which is why I said I think either answer could be correct. I haven't entered yet as trying to decide which option to go for.

Just looked on my dd's Hello Kitty dvd & on the back it says Produced & Copyrited in Tokyo, so my guess would be Tokyo.
