I am a new customer to online shopping, having only shopped online twice, and none of the money off codes work for me? Not even the ones where you have to buy an item to get the discount, e.g 25p off wyb fresh mince. I have the correct items in my basket and have spent the correct amount (for example, Martin's email gave a code for £10 off a £50 spend, but I have spent well over £50 and the code still won't work?) Does anyone have any ideas on what I am doing wrong? Or any suggestions on what to do to make these work?

In my opinion there is nothing you can do, these codes either work or they don't, and in my experience 9 times out of 10 they don't!!
Sorry, but that is just what I have found.

amani...just you and me that no codes are working for then lol

tesco sent me a code for £10 off WYS £50 and free delivery WYS £50. I was wondering if the codes work on a lesser spend. For example with bogof items - like instore - so you don't actually have to spend £50. TIA:D

Yes, that works Sally....a points code should work with it as well (as long as theyre both not prefixed xx)

    Good luck

The Tesco wine site is driving me nuts. I tried to buy three cases of wine (six bottles per case) but it won't let me checkout:mad: After fiddling about for ages I have discovered that I will have to buy either two cases or four cases, but it won't accept three - WHY NOT?

Please, has anybody else had this problem? I also hate the new delivery thing where it is all day rather than a designated slot. If I hadn't cashed in a load of clubcard vouchers to spend on the wine site I just wouldn't bother.

Maybe a silly question but with the discount codes - does the £5.00 delivery charge count as spending over £50, for example say I spend £45.01 on shopping plus £5 delivery charge = £50.01 would I still get a discount code for spending over £50 (if I find one that actually works!!):D

I'm really annoyed with Mr T:mad:I spent ages and ages trying to do an online shop for £50 so I could use the 2 codes (£10off and free delivery)that were sent to me via e-mail, but when I tried to enter the codes, the site would only allow me to use one code:confused:the e-mail I recieved said I could use both codes together:mad:I thought maybe I had to spend over £50 to use both codes, so I went back and added another £10 worth of goods to my basket, but still no joy:rolleyes:

If both codes start with 'xx' then you can't use them together.

Seems like I've been extremely lucky, for my first shop which was £51 plus delivery, I was able to use both codes sent to me in the email from Tesco's (GR9KPL for £10 of a £50 spend & GRRX4F for £6 off - free delivery basically, but as my delivery charge was less the rest of the voucher was taken of my shopping). Also I got another £10 through going through Quidco to open my account.

I logged on the other day to do a shop (again about £51) and when I went to the checkout screen there was a £5 voucher sitting there - result!

Even more of a result is that I was able to use - crczwbwp8p7b and got £10 of my shopping, instead of the fiver.

No the delivery charge doesn't count as part of the £50 (you'll notice that the voucher code discount/extra points only shows up on screen once your actual order reaches the £50 threshold). However the good news is that many of the offers (eg BOGOF, buy 2 get 1 free) are counted at the full price towards your total and then discounted on the printed invoice that the driver gives you along with your shopping.

For example I recently purchased their £9 'meal deal' - the total cost of the items included in the deal came to £20.99. The £20.99 counted towards my £50 total but I was only charged £9 for them. This makes it much easier to reach your total than if you were shopping instore, where the BOGOFs etc are discounted at the checkout before you can hand over your voucher.
