Company Cars

Managers that have company cars at my work have an allowance of £16,000. this has not changed in over five years.

Does anyone know how I can calculate what 16,000 is "worth" now as apposed to the value of 16,000 in 2001. In other words what should the allowance be now to get the same value as in 2001.

thanks for your help :j

In March 2001 the rpi was 172.2, last month it was 194.2

    Therefore the rise is 12.77%
Your 16000 then is worth approx 18045 today..
