I've been on my first proper diet for this past 7 days. This is what I ate yesterday for example.

6am Breakfast
Branflakes + Banana

1pm 1 x Sandwich, 1x Low fat yoghurt 1x Pear

4pm Whole wheat Pasta & Chicken

Snack = some red grapes.

2ltr of water

I have ate something similar all week, For exercise I have run 1 mile perday at 5am and done weights 2 nights per week.

And the results of all this?? I was 15'2, and after weighing myself last night I weigh??? 15'2. Hardly inspiring is it??

When you consider my typical Friday consists of

Breakfast
3xSlices of toast and sausages

9am Bar of yorkie

11am 2x sandwiches and youghurt

1pm 2x sandwiches

4pm 2x Burgers and chips

6pm crisps

7pm chocolate bar

8pm tea and biscuits

and no exercise at all

I thought I might have seen some improvement.

You should lose weight with this diet as it is very similar to the one I've followed in the past with Rosemary Conley (though not during the first two weeks kick start). The only improvement suggestions I would make is to watch your portion size, particularly of the pasta. It's very easy to overeat. In the RC diet it's 80g uncooked weight. How are you cooking the chicken? Ideally remove skin first and grill, poach or bake. And I'd add a salad or some vegetables.
How much bread is in your sandwich? Is is thick slices of home made? And what are you spreading on it/putting inside? Are you adding mayonnaise?

Chicken was chicken fillets cut into pieces and lightly fried in the pan with Frylite and finished in oven, and had some Mediterranean veg mixed through it. The bread may be a let down, its just bog standard Hovis with full fat butter, but it is only spread lightly.

  • Wow that is a good week !
You definetly should of lost more, you always lose more the 1st 2 weeks.
doin that u should lose 5-7 1st 2 weeks ( some bein water) then it should steady down to 1-2lbs a week.
one pound = 3,500 cals so you need to lose this by cutting down on food or excercising it away.
    eg..I need 2000 cals a day( men its approx 2,500) to maintain my weight so i go down to 1,500 each day. 7x 500 = 3,5000 which = 1lb lost.Thats without any excercse.if i burn another 250cals a day thats another half a pound lost !
My opinon..its always best to count calories, that way you don't go over !
  • Also don't forget u've been drinkin 2 litres of water aday and b4 you might not of drank any where near this..so u might of lost more weight but yr body is properly hydrated now and of course that adds weight too
