I have been using an online storage site for free (Diino) but its now shutting down its old site, they do give you the chance to pay to use it but it is pricey.

Dose any one know of an FREE online storage site??

If it's just pictures you want to store then truprint store for free and you also get credit for prints when joining up. Not sure if this is what you meant but hopefully it helps!

Try the techie board - they're clued up about technology!

If you lose pictures as in they disappear off your computer files: try recuva (free software) which rans a scan and finds all the deleted files for you - some can be restored while others can't.

Have you tried looking at your ISP - sometimes they give free storage.

If your machine has a CD or DVD burner then why not use CDs/DVDs to store your data.

    Here's an example....

On a standard cheap 700mb CD you'll fit around 1,100 high quality photographs.

On a standard cheap 4.7gb DVD you'll fit around 8,000.

Depending on the camera model and quality settings, the number of images you'll be able to fit on a single disc can vary wildly. My camera, for example, is capable of producing image files exceeding 18MB in size. This would work out at about 38 images per CD.
