Aldi cheap car cd players?

Options
i have just woke up but can remember on my drive home this morning that aldi were advertising "top spec cd player for car £49.99"

i have been on the aldi web site but it says nothing about the cd player, now i have a renault megane with tape player and i would like a cdplayer ( mp3 compatible) for my car. but i need to know if it compatible with my car before i queue up for an hour and buy it.

does anyone know what model it is?

Its a tevion, RDS CD/MP3, no model number on box (i bought one yesterday).
  • Does anyone know the specs for this. As I'm after 1 for Xmas Prezzie and the only other one that I'm considering is the one in Maplin for £59.99.

Many of these cheap car players only have FM/MW radio reception. If LW is important to you (Test Match Special, R4 reception on the continent) then you'll have to rethink, but otherwise they all look amazing value.
  • If you sign up for the Maplins newsletter, you get offered the vouchers anyway, without buying anything! Even with a voucher, the Maplins one is still more expensive than the Aldi one. Aldi also have a no-quibble returns policy which Maplins do not seem to have (my local store is a-s-s for taking stuff back).
