A little fairy cake help please

OK this may sound very odd but could anyone please tell me what sort of weight of icing sugar I will need to buy to make 100 fairy cakes?
Also apart from traditional a blob of icing then a cherry/sweetie on top and butterfly cakes what I could look at doing with them?
Many thanks Alliexxx

My son likes fairy cakes with hundreds and thousands stirred into the mix before baking. Rainbow cakes!

According to this recipe, 4 oz makes 12, so you'd need just about 2 pounds,

You could do different coloured icing with food colouring, or a drop of neat orange squash makes a nice peachy colour.
You can get loads of toppings like choc bits from the supermarket.

You can also do inside fillings. My fav is make a chocolate muffin/brownie type batter.
Mix ixing sugar vanilla extract and a tub of philli (or other cream cheese). In the muffin tray or cake case add some batter then a blob of the filling top with more batter.
You bake this and it comes out as a chocolate cake with a centre that tastes like cheese cake. I just sprinkle icing sugar or cocoa on top. You can do vanilla cake with the same filling. Other fillings include jam or chocolate spread.

Another thing that's good is to use Cadbury's chocolate, just melt it in a dish in the microwave and spread over the top, messy as you like.

I find this hard as I eat most of it ;)

    Some more decorating idea:

Melted chocolate with a flake on top
    Icing sugar with dolly mixtures
    Icing and a half cherry
    Chocolate and a half cherry
Cut off top add mixed up philly, icing and rasberries - replace 'top hat' that you previously choped off, sprinkle with icing sugar
    Chocolate and sprinkles
